The Good Habit: Green Juice

Here is my #1 Good Habit:

Have a green juice every morning.

It´s easy, simple and quick and I have seen so many positive side effects from it.

For a starter I get my daily green dose into the system and do not need to worry about eating salads and veggies for the rest of the day (if I don´t want to). I really struggle with doing so, especially during the winter months, so my green juice is the perfect liquid version of a salad.

I don´t know if it is directly related to the juice but I have also gotten far less sick since adopting this habit, I have lost weight, my skin has improved and I generally feel better all round.

I have been juicing like a pro for about 2 years now and it does pay off investing in a good juicer. Smoothie´s just don´t do it for me: too slimy, too heavy, too much in the morning. But a nice fresh juice goes down in no time.

This is my go to recipe, the one I resort to most days:

  • 150gr kale (check out the amazing properties of this veg)
  • a bit chunk of fresh ginger
  • juice of 2-3 oranges
  • half an apple
  • a few (green) grapes
  • a bit of cucumber
